(Not to mention the vague writing-malaise of the week: it has been <em>hard <\/em>to come up with something to write about. From which I mainly glean that I need more shit going on in my life. Thanks, COVID!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For now, here&#8217;s a little link roundup for the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This art installation of a little house and gardens populated by dozens of figures doing an assortment of variously normal and ominous activities is called &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/boingboing.net\/2022\/02\/10\/the-cuckoo-clock-is-a-captivating-minature-world-by-vered-aharonovitch.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Cuckoo Clock<\/a>,&#8221; and it is both fascinatingly detailed and quite creepy. I wonder very much what the artist was looking to convey.<\/li><li>This gentleman took a Polaroid photo every day from 1979 right on up through the 90s, and the resulting <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/boingboing.net\/2022\/02\/10\/jamie-livingston-took-a-polaroid-picture-every-day-for-almost-two-decades-until-the-day-he-died.html\" target=\"_blank\">vast collection of little moments<\/a> are online for us to enjoy. <\/li><li>FMV (full-motion video) adventures have been on the outs for a while, since their heyday back in the 90s &#8211; but <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/kotaku.com\/japanese-nintendo-direct-square-enix-fmv-murder-mystery-1848517937\" target=\"_blank\">Square is making one<\/a>, and I have to admit I&#8217;m into it.<\/li><li>Is the internet <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gawker.com\/culture\/the-crankification-engine\" target=\"_blank\">turning us all into cranks<\/a>?<\/li><li>An AI is <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.itsnicethat.com\/news\/martin-mcallister-dream-jobs-bot-digital-110222\" target=\"_blank\">drawing people&#8217;s dream jobs on Twitter, with surreal results<\/a>. I wonder what it would make of mine?
